A Safe Place to Trick-or-Treat

The CRA Emeryville office provided a safe place for teen mothers to bring their children to Trick-or-Treat on October 31, 2006.  The 45 mothers were members of Growing Up Together- California School Age Families Education (Cal-SAFE) Program.  CalSAFE is a comprehensive, community linked, school-based program that focuses on youth development and dropout prevention for pregnant and parenting students.

The 40 office staff supplied dozens of donated costumes and organized five companies within their building to open their doors to an afternoon of trick-or-treating.  They passed out books, shampoo, little toys and many treats to the kids.
