Environmental Remediation Engineer

Location -   Fort Myers, Florida

Relevant Experience - 5+ years of Environmental project management experience in remediation.  A technical background in a variety of remedial technologies, specifically bioremediation is a plus.  

Travel Level -  Some travel

Education Level -  Bachelors degree required in Chemical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, , Masters and Ph.D. Candidates Preferred

Description - HSA is looking to invest in an intelligent, motivated environmental engineer who can demonstrate past academic acuity and work ethic. This position will require an applicant who has or can obtain a Florida P.E. within six months of hire. In addition, the successful candidate should have over five years of Environmental project management experience in remediation.

Under the direction of the Department Manager, the candidate will be responsible for completing project tasks, including field work associated with assessment and remedial actions, preparing proposals, cost estimates, and environmental reports, including remedial action plans. 

Typical projects include assessment and remediation of chlorinated solvents, pesticides, petroleum, and metals for private and public clients, including state, federal and local and international entities.   In addition to remediation, typical projects also include risk assessment and bench/pilot-scale testing.  Typical field activities include sampling various media, operating and maintaining remedial equipment, completing field documentation, health and safety oversight, and directing subcontractors.  Typical office tasks include data evaluation, report writing, evaluations and design of remedial systems, and evaluation of system performance and effectiveness, although a broad range of other tasks are also required.
