Chemical Facilities Anti-Terrorism Standard (CFATS) Compliance

CRA's Emergency Management & Business Continuity (EM/BC) Group provides all the services needed to assist our clients in establishing and maintaining compliance with 6 CFR Part 27 - Chemical Facilities Anti-Terrorism Standard (CFATS).  The CRA EM/BC Group is certified in the use of the CARVER Methodology to assist in the analysis and examination of the interrelationships among assets, threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures that protect facilities and operations.  The CARVER Methodology is one of the few that is accepted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The CRA EM/BC Group employs the CARVER Methodology to complete qualitative and quantitative assessments of the vulnerabilities of facilities from both offensive and defensive perspectives.  Based on the results of these assessments, the CRA EM/BC Group develops countermeasures to protect the facilities and operations.

Our group is staffed with leading counter-terrorism, chemical facilities, and security experts who provide our clients with a practical approach to identifying assets that are most attractive, from the perspective of attack by an adversary, and the best ways to prevent such attacks.  We work with industry to identify best practices and encourage the development of new technologies to address vulnerable areas that currently lack sufficient technologies.
