Business Impact Analysis

A Business Impact Analysis (BIA) is a systematic approach for assessing potential impacts resulting from various events or scenarios.  The BIA identifies the most critical operations within the organization and ramifications of those impacts. The BIA then quantifies the potential impact on the organization.  The BIA is intended to provide quantifiable values for the degree of impact or potential losses and various unwanted impacts on the organization.  The results of the BIA are published in the BIA report, which provides a "roadmap" of the most serious threat to the organization.

As part of this process, CRA develops and helps implement systematic recovery plans and procedures that are built on the working knowledge developed from the BIA process. This information is used to formulate recommended recovery strategies policies, plans, and procedures.
