Anaerobic Digestion

CRA has experience with the assessment and development of anaerobic digestion facilities as related to source-separated organic municipal wastes, wastewater, and agricultural systems.  This includes understanding of pre-processing systems, anaerobic digester vessels, solid-liquid separation of treated digestate, and post-care of the various residual waste streams.  CRA has experience with the environmental systems that are required as part of a digestion facility, including biogas refinement, biogas utilization for the production of electricity or pipeline-grade natural gas, and overall odour and leachate management.
